shipping and other important stuff...

Are we there yet? How much longer?? How about now???

We know it's hard to wait, especially for those who don't yet know how to tell time.

So here's what you can tell your littles in the meantime...

IMPORTANT SHIPPING UPDATES

Things seem to be changing all the time, but you will find our best guess at the most up-to-date version here...

what's changed:

Canada Post Strike

Canada Post is now on rolling strike, which means that once the shipping backlog has been cleared, they will begin shipping new packages according to region. Please continue to expect some shipping delays.

**If you require your package by a specific date, please upgrade to special carrier shipment (Purolator, UPS or Fedex).

SHIPPING TO THE USA

As of now, the de minimis exemption on goods sold under $800 has been removed. This means that ALL goods shipped to the US will be charged import duties, which are calculated according to the type of product, its country of origin and some other confusing details. Canada Post now requires these duties to be prepaid before the package crosses the border.

As a small business with lots of amazing customers in the US, we've had to make some changes in order to continue shipping to you. What this means is we will have to now charge import duties. Where before the customer was responsible for paying these at the time of delivery, now we need to collect these fees in order for the package to be delivered.

Import duties will be calculated by HTS code using a tariff calculator that includes the most up-to-date IEEPA sanctions.

real world example:

If your order includes a costume mask, this falls under the HS code 9505.90 which carries a 25% tariff, or about $6.50 levied on a $26 mask. It's kind of bonkers, but hopefully this clears things up, right...?

If you do have any further questions, please reach out to us and we'll do our best to help navigate this new situation.

order processing times

Depending on which items you order, it can take us  2 - 4 days to process the order before it is on its way to you (excluding weekends and holidays, cause we also have families who like to ask Are you done yet? How about now?? Now???). Orders received after 5 pm EST will be processed the following day.

Because everything is cut and sewn by hand, and so much of what we do requires hand-finishing, it does take some time... but we promise it will be worth the wait.

Once you've placed your order and received a confirmation email, we always do our best to communicate exactly how long your order will take before it is packaged and shipped. If you have any questions about your order, or need something in a hurry, please get in touch with us at a@gogoandmartin.com.

We will do our best to notify you of any potential delays due to high volume or shipping delays outside of our control.
